NBN Rollout
With the launch of NBN satellites that are intended to supply regional Australians with fast efficient internet services at reasonable rates three companies are taking expressions of interest from Norfolk Islanders. The companies are Harbourside ISP, Ativ8me and Skymesh
It is recommended that Islanders visit the websites to find the best deal for themselves and register their interest. They can do that here:
https://www.skymesh.net.au/services/nbn/satellite/lts.php http://www.activ8me.net.au/internet/skymuster http://www.harbourisp.com.au/residential/nbn-broadband/skymuster
Residents can also choose the speed and hardware they require.
It is expected that the rollout will commence in may on a first in first served basis. At this stage it looks like the federal government will be covering the entire cost of the satellite dish and associated equipment.
